Money & Morals

Every day we hear news of yet another financial scandal bringing disgrace to some and financial ruin to many. No area of modern life presents more moral challenges than our involvement in work and business. In a time when the business world's values are being called into question, many people are searching for a more fixed, permanent value system that can provide an anchor for identifying right from wrong. Relevant guidance and answers can be found in abundance in Jewish teachings. In fact, more than one fourth of the Code of Jewish Law focuses on proper moral and ethical conduct in the business world. This course, part of an ongoing study of the Ten Commandments, will focus on the 8th commandment of "Do Not Steal".
