The Academy will be offering a 5 hour training session that will
train you to respond to a life-threatening emergency. The CPR
course will be instructed by former paramedic Martin Cohn, a
Cal/OSHA compliance consultant and trainer, with over 30 years
of experience.
Session will include recognizing and first aid techniques for:
- Responding to an Emergency
- Heart Attacks
- Heimlich Maneuver
- Respiratory & Cardiac Arrest
- Stroke
- Choking
- Breathing Difficulties
- Using an AED
- Open Injuries
- Controlling Bleeding
- Treating Burns
- and much more…
Completion of course (written test and students’ demonstration of skill set) will yield a
ECSI certificate of completion for each segment - CPR, AED and First Aid. ECSI is
endorsed by the American College of Emergency Physicians. Certificate validity is 2 years
for the CPR and AED and 3 years for the First aid.
