Eli & Sandra Eisenberg & Family
Honorees

Ever since Eli and Sandra Eisenberg and their young family relocated from the Bay Area to the Conejo Valley in the summer of 1986, they have been among the most involved, influential, trailblazing and impactful members of Chabad of the Conejo.

What began with a phone call inquiring about Chabad's Camp Gan Israel, followed by an exhilarating summer experience enjoyed by the children, soon led to the Eisenbergs' attending synagogue services and Torah classes at Chabad's newly-opened center in the Oak Park/Agoura Hills area. Before long, Jay (Eli) Eisenberg became the shul's Gabbai (ritual coordinator) and unofficial Chazzan (cantor), leading the congregation in spirited prayer, song and celebration - positions he brilliantly holds at Chabad of Agoura Hills to this day.

As the Eisenberg Family grew in their observance of Jewish tradition over the years, so did the number of lay-leadership roles they assumed on behalf of the community. These included chairing fundraising campaigns, taking the lead in negotiations for the acquisition of new facilities, hospitably opening their home to guests for Shabbat meals and holiday parties, and generously dedicating the Eisenberg Family Shabbat and Yom Tov Discovery Center.

Eli and Sandy's passionate and hospitable ways have clearly been passed on to their three children - Adam, Ilana and Amira - and eight grandchildren. Adam, an ordained rabbi, is the Director of Philanthropy at the YEHUDI Jewish outreach center in Miami Beach, Florida.

As the Eisenbergs are now looking toward momentously making aliyah, relocating to Israel, this summer, Chabad's Banquet Gala '23 will not only afford the community the opportunity to wish them well in their journeys ahead, but moreover, to thank them - in grand style - for their having been so instrumental to the blossoming one of the most dynamic Jewish organizations on the west coast.... Hatzlacha Rabbah and Nesiyah Tovah!

Dr. Jack and Beth Lin
Lifetime Achievement Award

Chabad of the Conejo will be presenting the Lifetime Achievement Award to Dr. Jack and Beth Lin at Gala Banquet '23.

From academics to business, writing to engineering, science to spirituality, there is hardly a field of human endeavor Dr. Jack Lin has not mastered to great effect. As the co-founder of NTS, an engineering company serving the aerospace, nuclear, defense and commercial industries, his expertise was sought in the testing of the United States' most sophisticated weapon systems and in setting the stage for several of NASA's most ambitious space missions.

Beth Lin, who was born and raised in New York City before relocating to California as a teenager, has been married to Jack for 46 years. Being a proficient agent and consultant in the travel industry, she has been a vibrant partner to her husband, not only in the raising of their beautiful family, but also in their shared passion for traveling and exploring the world.

Even in retirement, the Lins remain active on many personal, philanthropic and professional fronts, including spending more time with their children and grandchildren, expanding their study of Judaism and philosophy, extending support to Israel and various Jewish causes, and developing new technologies for the delivery of various enhanced therapies.

Their being honored by Chabad is not merely in recognition of past events, but certainly their ongoing achievements as well.
