Is Anybody Up There?

SCHOLAR-IN-RESIDENCE Shabbaton Weekend

Join us for a delightful Friday Night Shabbat Dinner followed by a lecture

With Guest Speaker
Rabbi Yossi Bryski
Scottsdale, Arizona

In times of great challenge and distress, mankind has a tendency to look toward the heavens for strength, for miracles, for answers – for a sign. What then to make of it when no such responses seem to be forthcoming? Drawing on profound mystical, Chassidic, Talmudic and homiletic sources, as well as personal experiences with tragedy and grief, Rabbi Yossi Bryski provides moving, inspiring and motivating insights into Judaism’s fundamental concepts of faith, trust, mercy and compassion.

Rabbi Yossi Bryski is the Director of Alternative Sentencing at The Aleph Institute. He advocates for rehabilitative alternatives to incarceration at sentencing hearings around the country. He lives in Scottsdale with his wife and 6 children.
